Biography

Padmanaban Sanjeevikumar (M’12, SM’15) received B.E., M.Tech. (with distinction), and Ph.D degree in electrical engineering from University of Madras (India), Pondicherry University (India), and University of Bologna (Italy), in 2002, 2006, and 2012 respectively. He pursued his doctoral degree with full comprehensive grant successfully obtained from Ministry of University Research (MIUR), from the government of Italy (Jan. 2009 - Dec. 2011) by securing 120/130 with the merit of first rank among International Competition devoted for one foreign Ph.D scholarship position. After completing his Ph.D degree he worked as Associate Professor with VIT University from August 2012 to May 2013. Furthermore he joined as Faculty with National Institute of Technology, Pondicherry, from July 2013 to December 2013. He was invited as visiting researcher at Department of Electrical Engineering, Qatar University, Qatar from January 2014 to February 2014 funded by Qatar National Research Foundation (Government of Qatar). He continued his research activities with Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland from April 2014 to September 2014. Presently, from September 2014, he is Project Head in Research & Development and Consultant with Ohm Technologies, Chennai, India.He has received the Best Paper cum Most Excellence Research Paper Award of IET-SEISCON 2013. He was invited as honorary program committee/technical committee/steering committee member/chair for more than 400 plus various international, national conferences and includes IEEE.

Research Interest

Design of HVDC (Bi-polar, Uni-Polar) transmission systems and Multi-terminal HVDC transmission networks.
